Frequently asked
1. Does this app cost anything?
No. Form A habit is completely free — no in-app purchases, no subscription, and no paywall. Every feature is open to everyone.
2. Do I need to register or log in?
No. The app has no account system — just open and go. Your habits, goals, and time records all live on your device, and we never ask for your name, email, or any login.
3. Where is my data stored? Is it uploaded?
Your habits, goals, and time records are stored on your device with SwiftData, and we do not upload that content to our servers. If you choose to enable iCloud backup, the data syncs to your own iCloud account for cross-device backup and restore — still never through our servers.
4. So what information does it collect?
Only anonymous usage statistics (via Firebase Analytics, to understand which features are used) and crash diagnostics (via Firebase Crashlytics, to fix problems). This data is anonymous and aggregated, is not used to identify you, and does not include your name, email, or location.
5. How do I delete my data?
Open the app → Settings → Data management → Clear all data, then confirm to permanently erase every habit, goal, and time record on your device (this cannot be undone). The app has no cloud account, so clearing local data deletes all your data; if you enabled iCloud backup, you can also remove that backup from iCloud settings.
6. Which languages and OS versions are supported?
iOS 17.6 or later is required. The app is localized in 13 languages including Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, English, Japanese, Korean, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, and Russian. iOS only (no Android version yet).
